Taking a leaf out of my auntie Eva's book, I've decided to do some blogging whilst on the road. That's modern travel after all. A simple postcard is no longer enough, and it's no longer only about letting the homefront know you're ok...oh no, modern technology allows us to boast whilst we're in far away places. Now it's "look, this is where I am, and you're not, na nana na na". Oh how travel has ceased to be a vehicle of personal development and profound experiences, and become no more than dinner-party bragging fodder. So here goes:
We've made it down to old Mexico after a monster journey involving six airports, five airplanes, one hotel, one chevy TrailBlazer, a few crocodiles, some tropical birds, a rash and lots more. We spent a few days in Miami, where we did South Beach, the Everglades and some shopping. The contrast between the extravaganti at Miami Beach and the down-and-dirty, big-belly-carrying, huge-truck-driving all American crowd at Sawgrass Mills Outlet in Fort Lauderdale was quite astounding.
Doing some exploring in the Everglades National Park.
