The morning after we arrived we woke up to a beautiful white view from Opa and Oma's living room. It was really quite magical. We took advantage of this lovely sunny, but icy day to visit a traditional Weihnachtsmarkt in a nearby German town. But first we had a nice drive through the Dutch countryside.
When we got to Münster, where thermometers were showing temperatures of well below zero Celsius, we had to warm ourselves on some Glühwein, as you do. I only had one sip...and it knocked me out, as you can see.
This is me with daddy and granddad. Daddy is doing his best impression of a French intellectual...too bad we were in Germany.
And after some Glühwein our bellies were shouting out for some hearty Bratwurst. Mummy was so cold, she had to buy a Peruvian-style woolly hat to keep her head and ears warm...doesn't she look cute?
And then, about a week later, my second birthday. This holiday season really was an avalanche of presents for me. At Christmas I got some cool toys and clothes (wicked Boston Red Sox pyjamas from the States, and my auntie Eva brought me a Ralph Lauren jumper from Thailand), on my birthday I got puzzles, a remote control toy car and a horse, and today it's Reyes Magos time here in Spain, which is when all the children get presents from the Three Kings (or Three Wise Men, although I feel that 'wise men' and 'kings' aren't synonyms at all).
